We don’t have a Motorcycle section but, as an all inclusive club, we accept any vehicle you consider worthy of the “Classic” title.

To that end, I would like to introduce you to my, (possibly), last ever registered, 1986 Goldwing SEi.

This bike is a one year only bike for 1986 but, my bike remained in a Honda dealership for 3 years, in a crate, before it was bought by a Scottish guy and shipped over to Douglas Water, near Glasgow. The bike was registered in UK 1989, 3 years after its introduction year. The owner assembled the bike and used it for 10 year and then stored it for 5 years. In 2004 he mot’ed it and sold it to a buyer in Dumfries. The new buyer then put the bike into a barn and covered it with tarpaulins. It remained under the tarpaulin for the next 9 and a half years before I bought it in June 2023, with the same mileage it had in 1999, 20458 miles.

I then spent the next 6 months recommissioning the bike and replacing the fuel pump and all the service items and fluids. The bike is now complete and ready for the road again.

Is it a car, is it a motorcycle!

Neither. It’s a fun machine with a Twin cam Mirafiori 1.8 ltr engine with Automatic gearbox.

Bought as a non runner with the gearbox hanging off. Previous owner had used the wrong bolts to fit flywheel to crank. This resulted in the flywheel coming loose and snapping all the bolts. Fortunately, I was able to drill and tap the crank end and fit new, correct, bolts. No damage had occurred to either the flywheel or clutch plate. Having sorted the engine, a few modifications to the brake pedal were made to allow for either foot braking. New tyres all round were fitted and a new exhaust system is being constructed by yours truly.

A new colour scheme was added and new seat covers made. All my own work, I might add.

There is no reason why Foxy will not be ready for the new years shows.

I bought the Chevy purely as an investment but wanted the best for my set budget. I found Corry, after an 8 year search, in Glendale, California in 2019 and was fortunate to get it home 2 weeks before lockdown 2020. There is a long history, too much for here, but the sort version is t was found with a rotted out floor and had a new one fitted by Brad Hall in Canada. It then had 2 owners before being bought by Mark Linnet from Glendale in 2014. I purchased it after a long search of the car with the next door neighbour of Brad Hall, the first purchaser and the CORSA club of America. It was even recognised by Frisco Bay chapter of CORSA with a trophy, which Mark included with the sale.

This is one of 360 built in 1964 for release in 1965, registered 1st Jan 1965, it was possibly the first one on the road that year. The colour is a one year colour of Danube Blue and is very rare. This model is the only Canadian built Corsa 140 convertible in the UK. The interior is totally original as is the electrically operated hood. All the exterior panels are also original along with it’s original engine and gearbox.
